What to Wear: Camping?

I'm on vacation this week, camping with almost no internet access (thanks, Blogger's scheduled posting!), so I don't have a What I Wore Wednesday post to share. Today I'm most likely wearing a sweatshirt and jeans...or a tshirt and running shorts...or a swimsuit and flipflops. 

That said, I had to share this "what to pack for camping" post by Jillgg's Good Life for Less. 


Super cute, right? More like what I'd wear to a summery picnic, though. I'm afraid it's not really practical for a week of smoky campfires and ketchuppy burgers. And usually, when I camp, any remains of toenail polish is quickly chipped off thanks to wearing flip flops in the dirt and sand.

    I think you HAVE to pack a few hair ties/bobby pins to keep hair out of your face. Great products like on-the-go wipes are a must for all of the dirt that gets everywhere. My all-time-favorite thing to pack is a good wool blanket to snuggle in front of a campfire with.

    When I go camping I usually just take an old t-shirt and shorts and a baseball hat to throw on my "camping hair". I would like to try and recreate this look with things I already have in my closet - really cute stuff!!
