Serger Shirt Refit

So I'm still working on my serger. And it feels a little less difficult, but not much. However, I successfully completed a small project! I started with this shirt from the thrift store, which is several sizes too large, and sized it down.

Refitting it with the serger was so easy! I followed my own easy t-shirt refit tutorial, and it looks a lot more professional with the serger. Not the most exciting project, but it's a start!

  1. It looks AWESOME!!! Sergers mystify my mind. I might ask for one for my birthday, though... especially if you can figure out how to use it and teach the rest of us!!

  2. Awesome! Now if only a serger could make too SMALL tops fit me, then we'd be in business!

  5. I have a few shirts I need to try this with. I've got some that are favorites, but I've lost some weight and now they just look baggy. Maybe I'll get around to pulling the serger out this week!

  6. This is a great project! I have quite a few shirts that have gotten stretched out from washing and wearing. Instead of getting rid of them and buying new ones, I could do this! Thanks!
