What do you do when you live in Wisconsin, the Packers are in the Superbowl, but you haven't included ANY green or gold in your 30 for 30 remix wardrobe? You grab the only green fabric that's in your stash, however stiff and non-soft it might be, and make an infinity-style scarf. Then you cut up a yellow t-shirt, whip out your glue gun, make some fabric flowers, and stitch them on quick in front of the mirror.
Yes, that's what I did here on Day 6. I also threw on the gray blazer, which I love. I really like short sleeved jackets, although occasionally my friends have to stop me from buying one that makes me look like I'm going on a safari, which brown ones are apt to do. This one's more in keeping with my librarian-style, which is appropriate since I have to work for a few hours before the big game.
Also, I'm wearing glasses in this post. Usually I wear contacts, but I like to give my eyes a rest now and then. It's worth mentioning, because these green-and-black half frames came from Zenni Optical, an online prescription glasses retailer. Yes, it's legit. And they have prescription glasses available for as low as $6.95. They have a huge selection of fashion frames. I got these about a year ago and haven't had any problems with them. If you wear glasses, it's worth checking out!
I'm wearing:
Glasses: Zenni Optical, $8
Green and Gold Scarf: Handmade by me
Gray Blazer: JC Penney, $6
White Scoopneck Tee: Kohls, $4
Slightly Flared Jeans: Plato's Closet, $14
Purple Flats: Payless, $6
How creative, love your scarf. I must admit, I'm a Steelers $6.00, that is a steal :)
