30 for 30 Update

This weekend, I've been doing some thinking about the 30 for 30 Challenge. I've been enjoying some aspects of it, but not others. For example, I don't see myself a as a style blogger; that's not why I started Simply Step Back. I like the challenge for its rules and inspiration. I like the remixing, and I like learning how to use what's in my closet, rather than feeling like I have "nothing to wear." And the no-buying-anything-for-30-days certainly doesn't hurt my budget either. However, I'm not really enjoying taking daily photographs of myself and constantly updating my blog with them.

In light of that, I decided that I'm still going to do the 30, because I think it's a great challenge. I'm not, however, going to post my outfit pictures anymore, except for an occasional update. Plus, now that I'm got some of my second semester under my belt, I'll be posting more projects and hopefully  getting my etsy shop going, too. Those are things that I'm much more excited to blog about!

With that said, I'll be seeing you for the Simply Share It link party on Monday, so get your projects and recipes ready to link up! :)

  1. Hey Sarah,
I have a librarian question for you :-). I'm currently a grad student in Elementary Education and my 3rd grade placement class is over half Asian. We are seriously lacking in finding multicultural books with Asian characters. My Name is Yoon by Helen Recorvits is good, but I need more! Any ideas? Thanks-
    Kathleen
