I love projects like this. I didn't even sew at all for this (although you could, if you wanted more embellishments). You'll need a picture frame, some fabric, and any ribbon or decoration you like. I cut a piece of blue fabric to fit the frame, wrapped the ribbon around it, and framed the whole shebang. I used a little tape to hold the fabric in place until I got the frame all settled. I think it looks pretty good! Write on it the same as you would any dry erase board.
Nice, when I was at Joey T's his girlfriend had just made a giant one of these with patterned cotton! I guess they are the "in" things to make this spring!
ReplyDeletelove this! i always had a dry erase in college but didn't feel it was appropriate for my grown up house- this makes it work. :)
ReplyDeleteI have one at our house that I should frame! What a good idea! It totally takes away the dorm feel for sure!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I saw you on Sew Much Ado. Do you just write on the glass? It wipes off like a normal dry erase?
ReplyDeleteGotta love easy projects! Great job! Thanks for linking up!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I was just thinking that I'd like to put a dry erase in the laundry room. I think I have an old frame or two that this would work for! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love these. One of these days I will get around to making one for myself.
