There are so many things you can do with an old t-shirt. I had a 3/4 sleeve t-shirt in a really pretty plum color (sorry, no photo). It didn't fit me and was starting to pill a little, so I didn't want to give it away. When I saw this
jersey necklace tutorial by Melissa at
ISLY (I Still Love You), I knew just what I wanted to do!
My shirt's knit was a bit looser than Melissa's, so mine has more of a shabby-chic frayed look than hers, which is very clean-looking. That's ok, I figure I can just tell people that I got mine at Anthropologie, where the frayed look costs extra (kidding, of course).
There was still so much left from the shirt that I decided to make a few fabric flowers. I used the same tutorial that I used to make
these flowers a couple weeks ago.
In other news, my birthday was last week, and my dear dad got me a dress form! So stay tuned for some news of that in the future- so far all I've done is set it up.
I love ISLY. I really like the brown. It turned out great!
