Out on the balcony

My favorite spot at my new apartment is my balcony. I like to have coffee there in the morning (if I have time), and read a book in the evening after work. It's fairly quiet where I live, but I like people watching, too. 

It's still a work in progress- ideally, there'll be more flowers and plants in the future. I'm hesitant to do as much with vegetables as I'd originally intended, since I don't know yet what my CSA share will bring.

I use Pinterest in small bursts, but I've pinned a few of my favorite balcony inspiration pictures. My table is from Home Goods, and the chairs and tea light lantern are from Ikea (a 15 minute drive from me now! Dangerous.). Do you have any suggestions for decorating small balcony spaces or trying to grow mini container gardens? Let me know!
