I haven't forgotten about fabric flowers, or my glue gun! Sometimes people comment on my projects that they'd love to try, but they don't know how to sew, or they don't have a sewing machine. No excuses this time! I wanted to make some frayed rosettes, and this tutorial by Mama Monster was by far the quickest and easiest. I didn't even have to thread a needle. She uses a glue gun as she wraps the fabric.
It was really easy. And if you don't have a glue gun...get one. I picked mine up for 75 cents at a thrift store and it's a ton of fun.
I attached my rosettes to a headband, also using the glue gun. I think my next one'll be better, but I like this one too.If you need ideas or don't want to bother with making one yourself, there are a ton of sweet ones for sale on etsy.
I really LIKE THIS! Make me one, PLEASE! I'll make you some Fleurschons in trade ;)

ReplyDeleteThese look so cute. I'll have to try my hand at one.
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to Sweets This Week. I love this! I have a glue gun but I don't use it nearly enough. This project is a perfect reason to dig my gun out of my craft storage. Thanks for the cute idea!

ReplyDeleteI totally made one like this last week! Aren't the rosettes addicting to make? I highlighted my rosette necklace instead. Won't you share it over on Vintage Pollyanna on my Tell Me Tuesday link party? http://vintagepollyanna.blogspot.com/2010/11/join-me-on-tuesdays-for-new-link-party.html
